Versions has changed big time in Word 2007. First of all Versions is the ability to specify stages of when changes are made to a document, and ability to copy those changes into a new document without overwriting it previous copy. Well, in previous versions of Word like 2003 and XP you could track Versions within the actual Word program, but in Word 2007 it's all been changed and now is only available from using Microsoft's SharePoint server software. In other words, you have to have a server that has SharePoint installed on it which will do all the work that used be available in older versions of Word. Yes, Versions has been outsourced in Word 2007.
