Hitting your tab key to go only over five spaces a hit can fixed, and redefined by setting your own tab stops. To make my point: how many of you have held down the space bar or hit the Tab key several times to space your text over? Instead you can simply click a place on your horizontal ruler and by default it will add a Left align Tab Stop tick mark. Meaning that if you hit your Tab key, your cursor will fly to that Tab tick mark and stops. The left align tab stops means that once your cursor stops at the Tab Stop, it will left align your text to it. Of course there's other Tab Stops like the Right and Center align stops, and even a decimal Tab Stop for you numbers. |
