Whether you scan in a document to your computer as an image or download an image, with Microsoft's Office Document Imaging you can convert that image into editable text. It's not a perfect conversion and so you may find your L appear as 1 or visa versa. It really depends on how clear the type is on the image. To get started click on the Windows Vista Start logo button, to All Programs, to Microsoft Office, to Microsoft Office Tools, to Microsoft Office Document Imaging. Once the program is open click on the Open button and navigate your computer to find and double click on your image. The image has to be in .tif format, and not .jpg, .png etc.
