A Document Theme in Word 2007 is a gaggle of formatting options that can be applied to a document at once including: color, page color, fonts and graphics or fill theme effects. However, this functionality will be negated or lost if you every apply a font directly to your text and not changing it using the Themes, and also includes the standard colors from the bottom of the color picker. To apply a pre-defined theme onto your page click the Page Layout Tab, to Themes group and click the Themes button to select from an open gallery of themes, and even save a current theme - ability to add your own theme fonts, theme colors and theme effects.
