There are Cover Page templates in Word 2007 you can use, and thereby save time trying to create your own. A cover page is typically the first page of your document that includes a title of your document and the author's name. To use one of Word 2007 cover page templates simply click on the Insert Tab, to Pages group and click the Cover Page button, to a cover page of your choice displayed here. Once inserted you'll then have the chance to type over some of the default text to add your own title and name. Keep in mind that you name may alread appear, but that depends on whether you set your document properties up with you as the author.
