Do you have some words you'd like to set the spacing of the letters or characters closer togethe, or further apart? In Word 2007 you'll first want to select the words you want to define the spacing and click Home Tab, in Font group and click its expandable dialogue box button (tiny button located in lower-right corner of the group), click Character Spacing Tab and set you spacing and postioning. You can even set the positioning, meaning position the characters to float above or below the line the characters are appearing on. Setting it as: above or below the current line. The shortcut keys to access the the Character Spacing Tab are Ctrl+D.
