Some of the pretty cool stuff you can do in Word 2007 is putting colorful borders around a complete paragraph, like boxing it in, and shading the box! It makes it look nice and offsets any specials you'd like your readers to pull focus to. Of course Word's built-in Text Boxes will do just as well, but that's another topic. Simple select the text or paragraph you want to create a border or outline of a box around. Then on Home tab, in Paragraph group click the Borders and Shading arrow to "Borders and Shading." Once there you have three tabs: Borders, Page Border and Shading. Yes, there's even an option to put borders around your pages too! |
