Looking for a shape to insert on the fly like a 5-point start, flow chart shapes and connectors, arrows, and callouts (talk or thought bubbles). In Word 2007 click the Insert Tab, in Illustrations group click on Shapes button to any shape that suits your fancy and click on it. Once you've clicked on it your mouse pointer will turn into a thin plus sign. Hover your mouse to a place on your document you want to draw your shape, that's right you have to click and drag your shape to the proportion and size desired. Then click and drag your plus sign and you'll notice the begin to take shape, then when it's large enough release your mouse (hold the Shift key when dragging to get perfect proportion).
