How do I add icons like Computer and Network to my Windows Vista Desktop. By default they're hidden, and to bring them up do the following: right click a blank area on your Desktop to Personalize, then on the left-side in the shaded Tasks Pane find and click the "Change desktop icons." A window pops up for you to check the Computer and Network boxes, and additionally the User's Files and Control Panel. Another way to add the Desktop Icons is to click on the Windows Vista Start button and click Control Panel, click on "Appearance and Personalization" links, click Personalization and in the shaded Task Pane click "Change desktop icons."
