How do I find the meaning of a word or look up that word in an online Thesaurus in Excel 2007? If you don't the meaning of a word and want to access an online dictionary, you can use Excel's web research feature. Additionally, you can use the same feature or tool to find synonyms, or accessing Microsoft's online Thesaurus. To be able to access these features and more, first you'll want to select the cell containing the word you'd like to search for a definition or synonym. Then from the Ribbon click on the Review Tab, to the Proofing group and click on the Research button. This opens up the Task Pane over to the right of your screen where you can choose what reference you want to use.
