What is the shortcut to checking your spelling in Excel's 2007 spreadsheet? Aside from going to the Proofing group, located on the Review Tab on the Ribbon, the only other shortcut is by hitting F7 key on your keyboard. The spell checker will search through the active spreadsheet and make suggestions to any misspelled words. Select the appropriate suggested word and then click the Change button to change from the misspelled word to the correct one. If there are no suggestions like my proper name Kirt, then you can click Add to Dictionary so you'll never have get a misspelling error from Excel again.
