What are the SUMIF, AVERAGEIF and COUNTIF functions used for in Excel 2007? Basically, they are used to get the sum, average or count of a specified range, when a set of conditions or criteria is met. You can even use the plural functions SUMIFS, AVERAGEIFS and COUNTIFS. The difference between the singular and plural are that the singular functions are used with only one condition or criteria to be met, where the plural can have more than one condition or criteria to meet before: adding or summing, averaging or counting up a range of cells that contain numbers. See how this all works through our Excel 2007 training videos!
