To create hyperlinks in Excel 2007 is as easy as a right click. The purpose of hyperlinks is to turn data or text into a link that when clicked on will open up another program i.e. document, spreadsheet, presentation etc., or send an email, or even open up a web page. Another way to create a hyperlink is to first select the cell you want to link to another program and on the Ribbon click the Insert Tab, to links group and click on the Hyperlink button. In this screen there are a lot of options to choose from when it comes to linking to another program including hover over "screen tips." When a user hovers over your link then a screen tip will pop up with your description of the link.
