What is the Goal Seek feature and how do I use it Excel 2007? The Goal Seek feature is used to solve problems with only one flexible, variable. To solve a formula based on the value that you want the formula to return. The only variable will be the term limit of say a car loan. For example, say that you can only afford $250.00 a month for a new car, but you want a $50,000.00 car. I'm exaggerating to make a point. How long would it take at $250.00 to pay off that loan? Well, that's the term of the loan that you would like flexible, because what you can afford a month isn't. See this Goal Seek feature in action and watch our Excel 2007 training video on Goal Seek!
