Formatting numbers in a cell to have decimals, to appear in currency or other formats in Excel 2007 is simple. First of all select a cell or range of cells you'd like to change the formatting and either: go to the Home Tab, to the Number group and click on Number Format arrow to any of your choice, or you can right click on the selection and click Format Cells and click on the Number Tab and select from one of the options. You can even create your own custom number format including: adding symbols or text i.e. in a social security format with dashes, colors of your choice and more!
