What are the DSUM, DCOUNT and DAVG functions for formulas and how do I use them in Excel 2007? The letter D before the SUM, COUNT and AVG functions delineates that functions there is some criteria this function will be based upon. In other words, you set the criteria for say the DSUM function, before it will SUM or add up a range of cells. So first learn the basics of what the functions are: SUM, AVG and COUNT and then you'll understand in more detail these functions work with the specific criteria you set before a range of cells will be: added up, averaged up or counted up.
