What is the Consolidate Data feature in Excel 2007? The Consolidate Data feature is used to summarize your data from several ranges into a single one. In order for this feature to work you have to have all Excel workbook files open to be able to consolidate. Also, all workbooks need to be the same in that all data are in the same ranges that you'd like to add up for example, in the same range. Once all the data is consolidated you can also expand and collapse the data that has been consolidated into a single cell, or the total of the consolidated data. See how simple and useful this feature can be when used in conjunction with other workbooks within the same range!
