How do I add comments to a cell, edit, delete and format the comments in Excel 2007? Two ways to add a comment to a cell is either: on the Ribbon click on the Review tab, to the Comments group and click on New Comment button, or when in doubt you can right click on any cell to insert New Comment. Once you've inserted a comment you can then format the comment to change the color from the default yellow to another color, or even include a picture as a background for the comment. In addition to making formatting changes to the comments inserted into cells you can also force the comments to stay open and not the default of hovering over to pop up the comments.
