Learn how to add borders to your cells and shade them in to in Excel 2007. By default Excel has a grid of cells in the color of blue, and is not printable. However, you can add black or any color of borders to you cells that are printable, and in addition shade those cells. The obvious way is to click on a cell and from the Home Tab, to the Alignment group click the Border's arrow to a border of your choice or to "More Borders" where you can customize your borders, including thickening the borders of your cells or range of cells. As far as coloring goes you'll select the cell and on the Home Tab, in Alignment group click on the Fill Color arrow to any color and even custom colors...
