What is a Top Value Query in Access 2007? A Top Value Query is a feature that when applied to a Query can pull up the top five values. For example, say you want to pull up the top five values of the Quantity Sold field. Not only do you need to select the Top Value and set it to five, but even before that you have to use the Totals feature. This feature will add a field down below in the Query grid, from where you'll select the "Sum" option. Once selected you can then on Ribbon, click the Design Tab, then go to the Query Setup Group and click on the Top Values arrow to your choice, including the Top five option. There are a few more steps to get your Top five. See it in action! |
