What is a Parameter Query and how do I use it in Access 2007? The Parameter Query is a bit of coding used to turn a normal or typical "Select Query" into a query that prompts the user to enter the criteria every time this query is ran. You can add as many "parameters" or pop-up boxes that require a user to enter in criteria. For example, you can have the first pop-up or parameter boxes asking the user to enter a product, then the second parameter require the user to type in the date range of said product. So between the two parameters the criteria is going to be defined, and in the Datasheet view display those results. See all this in our Certified training video! |
