What is an Input Masks and how do I create one in Access 2007? An Input Masks is a template field that holds temporary characters. For example, you can have a phone number field where users can type in their phone numbers. However, some fields are difficult to know whether the field requires 7 or 10 digits. If you tie the Input Mask to that field then a temporary characters like the # number symbols are inserted. One character for each digit. So a user can tell and count up how many digits are required. Once the user starts typing in each number or digit, the # symbol is removed until all are removed and all of the required digits have been entered! |
