What are relationships and how do I create them in Access 2007? It is inefficient to keep all your data in one folder, because if you want only to pull one file out of the folder you'd still have to lug out the whole folder. Instead how about if you created many folders as a way to organize your data into smaller, more meaningful parts. So with that said you'll be creating table that are like creating many folders, where you'll be grouping your data together. Hence the relationships come into play when you want to be able to link a part of one file in one folder, with another file in another folder or in the case of Access they're referred to as tables.
