What is a database and how do I create one in Access 2007? A database is you could say a container of objects that contain data. What are objects? In Access 2007 they are: Tables, Queries, Forms and Reports. Tables contain all the data and is referred to as an object, and the database contains the objects like the Table. To create a database it's as simple as clicking on the Blank Database icon in the Access 2007 program. When you do this a Task Pane will appear over to the right of the screen, and at the bottom of it you can select where you want to create your database and also give it a name. Once created you'll then start creating your objects as mentioned above.
