Word Count

Oh, the many ways you can count up the characters, letters, words and spaces in Word 2007. Goody! First and quickest way to count up the total number of words in your document is to turn on the Word Count in your Word's status bar (bottom of the frame in Word 2007). Right click the bottom frame of Word and select Word Count. This will appear on bottom-left of Word 2007 window frame's status bar. Second, is you can click the Review Tab, to the Proofing group and click the tiny button "Word Count," but looks like ABC 123. This will count up pages, lines, words and even characters, but there's a trick! If you select some text first and then click the Word Count button, it'll only count what

you've just selected. Finally, you can click the Office Logo to Prepare, to Properties, click Document Properties button to Advanced Properties and click Statistics Tab. Having problems finding the Document Properties button? Purchase the training video and you can see this in action for yourself!
