Find and Replacing Text

Looking through a huge Word 2007 document can be overwhelming when all you're trying to do is find key word, or phrase. No problem. On the Home tab, in the Editing group is the Find button. Click on it and type the text or phrase you're looking for and click Find Next button. Or another favorite of mine is to click the Reading Highlight button>Highlight All, and it'll highlight all your key words in the document, in yellow. To clear the highlighted words simply click the button again>Clear Highlight. The shortcut key for finding text within your document quickly is Ctrl+F, which will bring up the same search box field for you to enter in your key words and click Find Next!

Now if you want a quick way to replace keywords throughout your document, you can use the Shortcut keys Ctrl+H (or Home tab>Editing group and click Replace). Simply type in the text you'd like to find, followed by text in the Replace field you'd like to automatically replace the text if finds, and click Replace All. You can see this in action for yourself!
