Right now the Screen Saver is not used as much when it comes to newer LCD monitors, but mostly used to lock a user's computer when the user is away from there computer for say more than 15 or 30 minutes. You can set this time also. To do so simply right click a blank area on your Desktop to Personalize, and then click on the Screen Saver link.
